The founder and Chief Instructor of Seibukan USA since 1973, he serves as Vice President of the International Okinawa Shorinryu Seibukan Association. He is the author of Kyan’s Karate: Seibukan Shorinryu (2012) and holds advanced black belt rankings across multiple disciplines, including 9th degree in Shorin Ryu Seibukan, 8th degree in Matayoshi Kobudo, and 6th degree in Shotokan Karate. His training also includes over 40 years in Tai Chi and 35 years in Bagua Zhang.
